ABOUT Mo

Formerly a Homeroom Mother, Welcome Wagon president and a nursery school carpool coordinator for 13 years, Maureen Kilar is the mother of six revenue-producing adult children, 20 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She spent 2014 experiencing and journeying pancreatic cancer.

Her column Enough is Too Much had its beginnings in Pittsburgh where Maureen penned her humor for several suburban newspapers while juggling the expected (and unexpected) schedules of a large family. Her education and background paint a varied picture: she studied engineering, liberal arts and business. She worked professionally in journalism and the country club industry. But she maintains her greatest efforts were made where she logged the most hours…in the laundry room and behind the wheel of the family 12- passenger Chevy van.

Maureen claims she journeyed cancer but survived motherhood.
